EUDAPORT News: Efficient Data Integration and Management in the GS1 Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN)

As we have previously informed you, we have developed the EUDAPORT tool, which combines user-friendly and time-efficient data entry for medical devices with formal (and, if desired, content-based) validation in accordance with the rules and data structure of the EUDAMED database.

We are continuously responding to current market needs and, in collaboration with GS1 Czech Republic, are pleased to announce an important new feature – the integration of the EUDAPORT tool with GS1 GDSN, within the Synfony catalogue.

Update: GS1 Standard for Broader Data Utilization

In collaboration with GS1 Czech Republic, we have expanded our tool to include the ability to convert data into the global GS1 standard for the Synfony catalog. This enables further use of the data beyond the EUDAMED database itself – for example, to make data available to hospitals in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Thanks to the connection to the Synfony electronic data catalogue, you can now share standardized data with various clients efficiently, in a controlled manner, and without duplicate entry. The data can be enriched with additional information compared to the EUDAMED database, yet it remains standardized and shared in a controlled manner.

Data processing step-by-step:

  1. Data upload – into the standardized Synfony data catalog format

  2. Validation and verification take place – technical (formal) and, if desired, content-based

  3. Data is shared – in a uniform structure with EUDAMED, hospitals, and other customers and partners

data flow

Key benefits for you:

  • Significant time savings when providing data on your medical device portfolio to customers – hospitals and other healthcare providers

• One dataset – multiple uses and sharing options

  • No additional costs

  • User-friendly and intuitive data management

  • Comprehensive change management in the EUDAMED database and GDSN structured data
